Machine God ("the game") is published by Iron Horse Games, LLC. This policy describes how Machine God handles data, and how to control or delete it.
When you first start the game you choose whether to allow analytics. If you choose "I agree: start digging":
If you choose "no analytics", none of the above is sent. Turning analytics off later in the SYSTEM tab stops all three at once.
Your game is backed up under a random RESTORE CODE (it looks like
MG-XXXXX-XXXXX; no login, no email, no account). The code is shown in the SYSTEM tab;
entering it on another device restores your game. Cloud backup and analytics are separate choices:
choosing "no analytics" still keeps your backup so you don't lose progress (browser storage
on phones can be cleared). You can turn cloud backup off in the SYSTEM tab.
Once you pass 100m the game asks whether to show your deepest depth on a public board. It is off unless you say yes. If you do, the game signs in with a random id (no name or email) and the board shows only a callsign made from that id (like UNIT-4F2K), your deepest depth, your number of reboots and when it was posted. Your restore code is never shown. Turning DEPTH BOARD off in the SYSTEM tab, or HARD RESET, deletes your entry.
The Android app offers optional rewarded ads (for example, watch an ad to double what you earned while away). They are shown by Google AdMob, which uses your device's advertising ID and device information to show and measure ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (Settings → Google → Ads). See how Google uses data from apps that use its services.
Purchases are made through Google Play; we never see your payment details. To confirm a purchase is real, the app sends Google's purchase receipt (order id and product) with your restore code to our server, which checks it with Google Play.
We do not sell your data.
No names, emails, accounts, contacts, photos, or precise location.
Open the SYSTEM tab → HARD RESET → tap again to confirm. This erases your cloud backup, your depth board entry, all progress on the device, and this device's analytics identity, and stops further collection (analytics, crash reports and AppsFlyer). You can also email contact@ironhgames.com. Full steps are on our Delete Your Data page.
We honor the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser sends GPC, Machine God keeps analytics off automatically, and the analytics switch stays locked off while GPC is active. (Your own save backup is not a sale or sharing of personal data, so it stays your choice.)
Turn analytics and cloud backup on or off any time in the SYSTEM tab.
Machine God is not directed to children. Before playing, every player confirms they are 16 or older when agreeing to this policy and the Terms.
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date above. Questions: contact@ironhgames.com.
